1-4 High Motion Offense

Looking for some help in finding a good motion offense out of a 1-4 High.  preferrably against a zone.  we run some M2M set plays, but I'd like to incorporate a motion for zone as well.  any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

How to Attack a 1-1-3 Zone???

Okay coaches, I need some advice.  I'm searching for an effective offense/plays to counter the 1-1-3 half court zone defense.  I have a relatively young team this season and we're going to face an aggressive 1-1-3 in our 4th game.  Offensively, we typically run out of a 1-4 high set but have heard that a 2-1-2 may be the way to go against this particular zone.  Any advice would be of help.

Summer- training hours VS playing hours

My son is trying out  for varsity this year.  He is working with a trainer.  They go 1.5 to 3 hours per day.  Lots of plyos, sprints, miles, some weights, ball drills, etc.

My concern is they don't scrimmage enough.  What would you say is a good ratio of training to actual traing in the-off season?

Thank You,

Patrick

Pick and Roll Options

In running the pick and roll, how do you read the defense to determine whether you roll, pop, slip, etc.?

Program Building - absolute essentials -

Our varsity high school basketball team had a very sub par year.  We finished 6th out of 8 teams and the primary reason was selfishness by 3 of our players.  They were all guards and can shoot and create their own shot.  One is graduating, and two are coming back.
